- Open the Microsoft Personal Web Server control panel, click the Web site button, and make sure that Web serving is on.

- Some networks are configured to give your Macintosh a new IP address every time you connect to the Internet. Since your URL is based on your computer's address, your URL will change as well. If you are in this situation, your Internet provider may be able to provide a static IP address or a domain name.
- Domain names such as "http://yourcompany.com" are provided by special servers called Domain Name Servers (DNS). Sometimes a DNS will provide inaccurate information, preventing Personal Web Server from displaying your computer's domain name, even though one exists. In these cases, you can still type the domain name into the Internet Explorer address bar even though the control panel displays the IP address.

- If you are not sure what your owner name and password are, review the Sharing Setup control panel.
- Visit your Web site.
- Click the Owner Sign-in link.
- Type the owner name and password.

- The Site administration tools available are dependent on the options selected in Microsoft Personal Web Server control panel. For example, if you do not have the Log Web Site Activity or the Let Me Browse My Disks check boxes selected, their corresponding links will not be available.

- Use a text editor to open the file, Guestbook.htm.
- Delete the entries you no longer want displayed on your Web site.
- Save the file.
